Can we please be over “ridiculously photogenic guy”
Y’all do realize that part of what makes him photogenic is that he meets Eurocentric, white supremacist, ableist, cissexist, heterocentric, binaryist ideals of male attractiveness, right?
I get that beauty isn’t objective and it definitely is about who and what is being seen and in what context, but this dude would never have gotten this much attention if he hadn’t presented the Perfect White Dude image to the camera, right?
I’m so tired of seeing his face everywhere because it’s basically like a bunch of folks are saying, “Congrats! You’re the Perfect White Man! Here’s a prize just for showing up and being really white and really male and really cis and really able. Enjoy that while we fawn over you.”
